This small group of students are based in the nurture department of a mainstream High school. Most students have moderate learning difficulties, some students in the group do have social and emotional mental health difficulties and struggle to engage.

The school are looking for a strong Teaching support who is comfortable supporting students in Ks3/Ks4.

SEND Recruitment are looking for Teaching assistants with experience of supporting children or young people with mental heath difficulties.

We have several vacancies in the Wigan, Leigh and Hindley areas of Wigan in mainstream schools supporting and teaching children with social and emotional mental health difficulties.

Furthermore social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) can hinder a child’s ability to access education leading to their opportunities being significantly reduced which is why we want to get the right support.

Ideally the right candidate can connect well with young adults, have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and can enable effective strategies to teach children with SEMH.
